Before taking the Making Media course, if someone asks me, “What will you do in the future?” the answer is probably no. But now, when finishing the course, I will confidently say Yes. Although I have not decided on a career because I still have a significant number of courses to take at the university, I will prefer to make magazines and write blogs if I choose the media output I want to make in the future.
THE MAGAZINES
In the second assignment of the Making Media course, I had a chance to make a magazine as group work. To make a magazine, we had to learn about which font or font size we should choose or what steps to create a magazine. Then, we had a chance to make a magazine cover with the topic “Campus Life.” I will never forget the moment I made a magazine cover myself. Although it looked unprofessional and dark, which was not related to the topic, I still appreciated it because it was my product, and it reflected my design style. While doing the whole magazine, I was responsible for writing the content, and my teammates were good at designing in InDesign, so I did not have a chance to create the magazine. But now, I have a plan for self-studying Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator in the sem-break, and I will try my best to master those tools.

THE BLOGS:
Another media output I want to make in the future is Blogs. I love writing because, through words, I could explain my thoughts and feelings. Every week I think of many topics to write about. Now, I write in my notebook, and a few of my family members and friends read it. I hoped to have a blog a long time ago, but I did not have enough time for it and was afraid if my blogs could not reach many people. Thanks to the Making Media course, I could make my website and confidently upload my blogs professionally.
I have a high expectation for the Making Media course as it could provide me the useful experiences to find and choose the most suitable career. Thanks to my lecturer and my beloved teammates for being with me through the Making Media journey.
